Why this exists
Pakistan is one of the most generous countries on earth by proportion of income given. It is also a place where most donors have been let down at least once and stopped asking what happened.
Charity.pk is an attempt to fix the second thing without damaging the first. Everything about how it works — direct payment to providers, local verification, published receipts, a public ledger — exists to answer the question a Pakistani donor is entitled to ask and rarely gets answered: where did my money actually go?
The same organisation runs depression.pk and anxiety.pk, free mental health support in Urdu and English. Mental health is where charity.pk starts, because it is the need people are least likely to ask for help with and least likely to be funded for.
