Zakat

Your Zakat, kept separate and spent only where it may be

Zakat has rules. Most donation pages ignore them and ask you to trust that someone else handled it. This page states plainly how it is handled here.

Kept in a separate account

Zakat donations are held apart from Sadaqah and general giving. They are never used for running costs, never for website or bank charges, and never mixed into a general pot.

Spent only on eligible recipients

Zakat is spent on the categories it is due to — principally the poor and the needy (al-fuqara and al-masakin) and those in debt (al-gharimun). In practice that means medical bills, school fees and food for families who meet that description, paid direct to the provider as with every other case.

100% policy

No administrative deduction is taken from Zakat. The full amount reaches the recipient's provider.

Is my donation Zakat-eligible?

Mark it as Zakat when you give and it is treated under the rules above. If you are unsure whether a particular case qualifies, ask before you give — we would rather answer than have you wonder afterwards.

We are not a religious authority and do not issue rulings. Where a case is borderline we say so on the case page rather than deciding quietly.

زکوٰۃ

آپ کی زکوٰۃ الگ رکھی جاتی ہے، صرف مستحق افراد پر خرچ ہوتی ہے، اور اس میں سے کوئی انتظامی خرچ نہیں لیا جاتا۔

Ramadan

Most Zakat in Pakistan is given in one month. Cases are published ahead of Ramadan so there is something real to give to, rather than a general appeal.
