The harshness that the bitterly cold winter months brings to thousands of vulnerable families in the UK, only presents an added strain to those already facing difficulties.
The rising cost of food and energy have contributed to a devastating situation for many individuals and families.
A struggle to pay bills, find work, or hold a roof over one’s head can lead to dire circumstances, including sleeping rough and food poverty. Refugee and asylum-seeking communities are also vulnerable to facing uphill struggles.
This winter, even those who don’t normally need our help, are now in desperate need.
We believe that everyone has the right to adequate shelter, food security and a source of income. That’s why we’re working across the UK to support vulnerable individuals and communities in need.
This winter, we’re proud to be working with over 20 of our valued partners across the UK to deliver vital food supplies to those in need.
With your support, in early 2023 we were able to distribute 15,900 food parcels to 67,716 rightsholders in the UK, through 26 of our incredible partners.
In 2024, we aim to deliver an estimated 11,750 food packs reaching approximately 43,500 of the UK’s most vulnerable people. Each pack will contain essential items such as gloves, hats, scarves, socks, and non-perishable food items, which will help a family in need get through the harshness of the winter season.
Just £40 can provide critical winter items for a family in dire need.
Please donate now and help families survive this winter.
